Things are afoot... My part time role as General Manager of
Laurie Collins Marine has become a full time role. This has meant putting
Nautilus Marine aside for the time being so that I can concentrate on new responsibilities with
Laurie Collins Marine. The
Nautilus Marine web site will remain as an avenue for marketing
Laurie Collins Marine Group listings.
So whats happening at
Laurie Collins Marine?
In 2006, we lost the Mustang dealership in a precipitous move by the Australian manufactures who appointed an new dealer for New Zealand. The Australian company has since been put into receivership, so we are better off without them.

This has given the opportunity to seek new brands and shortly two of our three new brands will be represented on our sales berths in Westhaven. The
Doral Sports Cruiser range from Canada brings the sports cruiser to a new higher level in New Zealand. The 45 ft
Alegria has already arrived and will soon be followed by the
Boca Grande 39 (sold),
Intrique, and
Alisio.
Laurie Collins Marine has also entered into a marketing agreement
Greg Elliott of
Elliott Marine to market and sell the
Elliott Tourer range of fast cruising yachts world wide. Ranging from the 1250 through to the 1650, the
Tourer range has already elicited orders from New Zealand and Australia.
Laurie Collins Marine will also represent the
Bertram range of sports fishers in New Zealand. This compliments the
Caribbean range which is marketed by long time Laurie
Collins Marine team member,
Les Nichols.
